Dragging an immensely large arm behind her, Jackdaw heaved with a mighty effort and handcuffed a clearly dead, and mostly headless beast to her car. Old habits die hard. "This is Detective 2248. Charlie, give it a rest."
"What about the suspect? He didn't lose you...?"
"Big, tall and scaly is here... mostly, Charlie. He put up a struggle."
"Goddamnit, Jackdaw! Again?!" the lieutenant sighed, clearly disappointed. "Does he need an ambulance?"  
And I like to see you developing characters of your own as well.
